The studio was entirely closed, no-one else was allowed in apart from me and my photographer. Once my photographer had taken photos of me in my prom dress, she soon got down to business by asking what kind of photos I wanted.

I swore I wouldn’t get naked. I am a prude, embarrassed about my body and even though my boyfriend insists he loves it I always think he is lying and convince myself I need to lose a stone.

Within half an hour I was stretched out on some black velvet, entirely naked doing my best Sophie Dahl pose and feeling like a million dollars.

But looking good is no easy feat. I was asked to hold some positions even the best performers in Cique Du Soliel would have had trouble holding and, after three hours at the studio, felt like I had run a marathon!

I tried valiantly to diet before the shoot and failed miserably. When I told my photographer this, she said I was just fine how I was. She did such an amazing job of my pictures that I now believe her!

The pictures caught me at my most feminine and with a new studio up north, you can bet I’ll be going back for more!
